Barclays Capital is predicting that the Bank of England&#39s Monetary Policy Committee will cut interest rates by at least 0.25 per cent in February.

Barclays says that the economy is growing at an annual rate that is 0.5 per cent lower than the MPC predicted in November.

It says this figure suggests a rate cut in February to allow the Inflation Report to show RPIX inflation at the target rate in the medium term.
