Ex-Standard Life platform distribution head hired by Bankhall

Support service provider Bankhall has appointed former Standard Life head of strategic platform distribution Campbell Stanners to the newly-created role of advisory relationship director.

Stanners left Standard Life Aberdeen last month among other senior figures following a restructuring.

Stanners spent 10 years at SLA, where he was a head of strategic platform distribution. Prior to that, he had roles at Ignis Asset Management, Prudential and Scottish Amicable.

He will report to Ross Liston, managing director for Bankhall and PMS Mortgage Club.

Liston hinted the business plans to make “significant investments in a range of exciting new services” in 2019 and 2020.

Liston says: “In addition to new services we are also investing in our people and strengthening our team, so that we have the experience and expertise in place to ensure that advisory firms reap the full benefits of our services and support.

“Campbell has an excellent understanding of the UK advisory market and a proven track record in strategic business planning and customer service. He is a great addition to the strong team we already have at Bankhall and PMS, which we are committed to building and investing in further over the coming years.”

Stanners adds: “I’m very pleased to be joining Sesame Bankhall Group at a time when it is investing heavily in the future of professional advice and the extensive proposition services it offers to members and clients.

“In a period of rapid industry change and market opportunity, I’m particularly excited about working with the Bankhall and PMS teams as they actively look to strengthen their directly authorised adviser relationships, and support these firms in achieving their individual business goals and ambitions.”
