Bankhall joins Adviserwise registration service

Bankhall is signing up to the Adviserwise agency registration service launched last month by e-standards body Origo.

Set up to help advisers form trading relationships with multiple product providers, the service is currently backed by four service providers and 12 product providers.

Origo says so far 467 submissions have been issued with participating product providers from 72 agency registration applications.

Bankhall managing director of IFA services David Golder says: “We strive to offer the optimum service to our members so it makes sense to get involved in an industry service that makes it not only quicker and easier to process Agency applications but is free for us and our member firms to use.

“Collaboration with Origo is important for ensuring generic business processes like applying for agency registration with product providers can be standardised and made as efficient as possible for everyone.”

Legal & General head of wealth e-commerce proposition development Jane Carter, one of the existing members of Adviserwise, is calling for more product providers to join up to the service.

She says: “Bankhall joining the list of service providers is another encouraging example of how we can work together as an industry to make doing business simpler and easier for intermediaries. We look forward to welcoming further service and product providers so that we can continue in this aim.”
