Dominic Baker will take over responsibility for Threadneedle's pan-European growth fund at the end of August, replacing Susie Roberts who is leaving to pursue a career in sailing.
Roberts has been lead manager on the fund since August 2000. Baker has been a member of Threadneedle's European team since 2000 and is deputy manager of the select growth fund as well as managing other funds in the company's European equity portfolios.
Joining Baker on the pan-European team will be Rob Jones, who moves from the UK team, where he is a member of the insurance and food retail research team.
Head of European equities William Davies says: “Our pan-European equity team comprises 30 fund managers and analysts. We believe in teamwork, which allows us to integrate our research and ensure that our best ideas are contained in all of our portfolios.”
