Baillie Gifford appoints manager to American fund

Baillie Gifford has announced the appointment of Malcolm MacColl as joint-manager of its American fund, succeeding Andrew Holliman.

In keeping with Baillie Gifford&#39s team-based approach to fund management, Mick Brewis will continue to be the lead fund manager of the fund, a role he has held since its launch in July 1997.

MacColl joined the fund manager in 1999 where he spent his first two years working on the UK small cap team and then the last two as one of nine managers on Baillie Gifford&#39s North American equities team.
