Bailey promoted at Axa

Rob Bailey, the head of UK retail sales at Axa Investment Managers (Axa IM), has been promoted to head of sales, UK.

In this broader role Bailey will be responsible for the development of Axa IM’s retail and institutional business.

He will work closely with Simon Cartwright, the global head of consultant relations, and Mark Yeates, the head of UK institutional client relations, both of whom work in the institutional space.

He will report in to Martin Hall, the head of Axa IM in the UK and Nordics.

Bailey joined Axa as UK sales director in 2004.

He is not being hired as a direct replacement for an existing employee. David Townshend, the former head of institutional sales, was responsible for some of the duties Bailey now has on the institutional side. He left the group last year.
