Axa’s Steve Muir leaves following restructure

Axa media relations manager Steve Muir has taken redundancy following a restructure of the external communications team.

Under the restructure, a number of new roles were created but Muir, who has been with Axa for 20 years, opted for redundancy.

A spokeswoman for Axa says: “No one else is leaving. Under the restructure we have aligned all the business units and a number of new roles were created. Steve decided he would rather not take up any of these and would leave to do his own thing.”

Muir has gone on gardening leave from today but will be officially leaving the firm on January 22.

Muir says: “This happened as a consequence of the restructure and I decided to take redundancy. I have been with the company for 20 years.”
