Axa&#39s court battle begins today

Axa&#39s court battle with the Consumers&#39 Association begins today, in a case that could have serious implications for all life office orphan assets in the future.

Policyholders fronted by the CA are challenging the method it has chosen to distribute some of its orphan assets between policyholders and shareholders.

A decision in the High Court hearing is expected by the end of the week.
