Axa UK has appointed Bertrand Poupart-Lafarge as chief financial officer.

Poupart-Lafarge replaces Jean Drouffe, who is leaving Axa UK to take up a leadership position in the firm’s operation in France.

Axa UK and Ireland chief executive Paul Evans: “I am pleased to welcome Bertrand as our CFO.

“He brings a wealth of experience to the Axa UK board and executive committee, having worked for Axa in France, the USA and Canada, where he was also CFO.

“I would like to thank Jean Drouffe for his professional and dedicated stewardship of the UK Finance function since 2010 – a challenging period during which we have successfully refocused and restored the profitability of the Axa UK business.”
