Axa Sun Life picks chief exec

Axa UK has appointed Paul Evans as the new chief executive of AXA Sun Life. Evans 38, was previously the Axa group finance director and before that director of PricewaterhouseCooper&#39s insurance practice.

Evans will take on the role immediately, replacing Andy Haste who joined Royal & Sun Alliance as chief executive in April.

An announcement is still to be made on his replacement.

AXA UK group chief executive Dennis Holt says: “Paul has helped shape the strategy for our UK business going forward and is well qualified to lead our life operation into the next phase of development.”
