Axa includes five multi-manager portfolios on Smart platform

Axa Investment Managers is making five multi-manager funds available on its Smart platform, the firm’s version of an internal fund supermarket.

Smart will provide access to 29 funds which Axa considers are the best of the funds that are most relevant to UK investors. They include nine offshore funds which are being made available to UK investors for the first time through the introduction of a sterling share class. A cautious portfolio sits at the lower-risk end of the spectrum while the growth portfolio sits at the upper end.

Head of UK retail Simon Ellis says: “When we decided on the best of the relevant, we found that there is no real appetite for more and more funds – why would the market want any more? Smart also increases the range of funds available for Axa Life’s wealth management portfolio planning tool. That has five risk and reward boxes and our multi-manager funds match those boxes.”
