He will be in charge of business development both for AXA IM’s institutional and retail arms. Bailie, a member of the management board, started his new role on January 4. He reports to Dominique Carrel-Billiard, the group’s chief executive officer.

Prior to joining AXA IM, he worked for 17 years with Russell Investments, an American investment adviser. Until 2008, Bailie headed the firm’s alternative investments group.
