Axa Framlington launches UK blue chip equity income fund

Axa Framlington has launched a UK blue chip equity income fund which will begin trading on February 23.

The fund will be managed by Jamie Forbes-Wilson and aims to provide growing income and capital growth over time. It will also look to have between 50 and 70 individual equity holdings within the portfolio.

The launch is part of Axa Investment Managers fund rationalisation programme to ensure that all funds are managed by the appropriate expertises within the group’s brands and multi-expert model.

As of February 19, Axa’s UK equity income fund will be transferred to the new fund to increase the transparency of the AXA IM and AXA Framlington fund ranges and simplify the respective offerings to clients.

Axa Investment managers head of UK retail sales Rob Bailey says: “The AXA Framlington blue chip equity income fund further strengthens AXA Framlington’s core UK offering.

“We are pleased to be able to extend Jamie Forbes-Wilson’s expertise in this sector to clients by adding another choice to our offering in the UK equity income space.”
