Axa Framlington has appointed Jamie Hooper to its UK equities desk as it recognises the UK large cap sector as an area for growth.
He will join in late November and report directly to Axa Framlington chief executive officer Robert Kyprianou.
Hooper will be responsible for the Axa Framlington UK Growth Fund and will further develop the UK equity large-cap franchise.
The UK growth fund aims to deliver capital growth through investment principally in UK large and medium-sized companies.
Hooper brings over 11 years experience in UK equity investment with F&C Asset Management, where he has spent the past four years there as director, UK equities.
Kyprianou says: “Jamie’s appointment enhances Axa Framlington capability in the UK large-cap sector – one that we see as an area of real opportunity.
“I am confident that Jamie, with his experience and stock-picking ability, will make a valuable contribution to AXA Framlington’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading fund management houses”.
