Aviva UK Health appoints international BDM

Aviva UK Health has appointed Teresa Rogers as its international business development manager.

Rogers joins from Pru Health, where she was head of corporate accounts.

Former Unum chief financial underwriter Terry Coulthard also joins the healthcare provider as senior group risk actuary.

Rogers say: “I am excited at the prospect of taki.ng on this role and building on the excellent international foothold already evident. The international market is seeing a period of unprecedented growth and I am delighted to be joining Aviva at this fascinating time.”

There are 2 comments at the moment, we would love to hear your opinion too.

  1. Am I the only one concerned at the numerous exits from PruProtect/PruHealth?

There seems to be an unnerving trend developing and it reduces confidence in their brand.

  2. PruHealth and PruProtect are still relatively new to the UK market; specifically PruProtect. Because of this the Company has found it necessary to recruit the very best to help produce the very best product that we have seen in the UK for many years. As the product settles on to the market and more good advisers realise what a gift they’ve been given to sell, PruHealth and PruProtect continue to push forward with great additions to their product portfolio. To do this they need fresh and innovative ideas from top employees old and new and therefore continue to recruit the best they can. The invaluable experience gained by their top team members is very sought after by other providers who realise that they have to reinvent their product or lose their market share, hence a great deal of head hunting and movement in the job market. It is important to note that both PruHealth and PruProtect put great importance on having as many good account managers working directly with advisers at ground level whilst some other providers are cutting back on front facing staff to pay for the higher level staff that they need to employ.
