Aviva Investors launches RDR-ready share classes

Aviva Investors has unveiled RDR-ready share classes for its onshore and offshore fund ranges.

The firm has completely discounted initial charges across its entire range of onshore Oeic funds and has also created share classes that are free from trail commission on a selection of funds for those advisers who deal directly with the business.

These products include the Aviva Investors UK Equity Income fund, the multi-asset fund range and the Property Trust, with the annual management charge ranging between 0.75 and 1 per cent.

Business through platforms and larger institutional investors will have a range of commission free share classes with an AMC between 0.15 and 1 per cent.

Aviva Investors is also offering a new ‘R’ share class on its most popular offshore Sicav funds, which are free from trail commission. These are the Global High Yield fund, UK Equity Focus fund, Global Convertibles fund and the Emerging Markets Local Currency Bond fund.

Aviva Investors says it will offer the ‘R’ share class on other offshore funds when there is sufficient demand.

Aviva Investors sales director for UK financial institutions Jeremy Leadsom says: “The RDR is bringing about a shift in the priorities of investors and their advisers. We have been engaging with UK intermediaries and responding to their changing needs, and one of the steps we have taken is to review and adapt our share class and pricing models to meet the new environment for fee structures. We look forward to continuing to support advisers who are working to build successful and sustainable businesses in the UK.”
