The Aviva Financial Adviser Academy has signed up 5,000 members since its launch in March 2008.
The academy, in partnership with the Chartered Insurance Institute, offers an education package which aims to help advisers attain the CII diploma in financial planning.
Since the academy was laun-ched, more than 2,800 members have sat a CII diploma exam in financial planning and 51 per cent achieved a pass or distinction.
Aviva says the academy provides tools and guidance to make it easier to get the most out of study time, offers support from trainers and consultants and gives access to CII learning materials at a competitive price.
Aviva intermediary and partnerships director Angela Seymour-Jackson says: “We have been delighted by the number of advisers that have joined Aviva’s Financial Adv-iser Academy. We recognise that the world of financial advice is changing fast, par- ticularly with the changes brought about by the retail distribution review.
“The number of advisers that are attending the acad-emy indicates that the industry is embracing these changes and is determined to achieve a recognised higher-level qualification and raise their professional standing.”
