AssureWeb in bid to boost business with online data

AssureWeb is aiming to give IFAs greater access to product information

from some of the software company&#39s major contributors.

Life offices CGU, Standard Life, Scottish Widows, Skandia and Legal &

General will make more of their key product features available to AssureWeb

so IFAs will be able to conduct a greater degree of their business online.

AssureWeb has 7,000 IFA subscribers and has the long-term goal of signing

up at least 10,000. The company hopes to use the products of its panel of

30 lenders to attract subscribers.

It expects that business will increase substantially over the next quarter

with the additional information, technical data and administrative forms

put up on the website last week.

AssureWeb is the product name of the online investment platform of

software company AssureSoft. It may soon make a stockmarket flotation. The

company is in competition with other players in the IFA e-commerce market

such as The Exchange and Misys.

Legal & General IFA division director Graham West says: “The introduction

and growing acceptance of web trading links will allow us to offer greater

speed, convenience and accuracy to intermediaries, which is a winning

combination when offering quality service.”

AssureSoft spokeswoman Sue Lewis says: “We would hope this exciting new

initiative will continue to attract new users to our system.”
