Assetz to launch new funds ahead of A-Day

Assetz are launching a series of new property investment funds for people looking to invest into their Sipps after A-Day, only available through advised sales.

The 10 new funds, kicking off with the UK commercial property short term capital growth and UK residential property short Term capital growth on December 1, allow anyone with a minimum of 5,000 in their pension the opportunity to invest into commercial and residential property, both in UK and overseas.

The funds are tax-free for Sipp or SSAS fund investment purposes and Assetz says the funds will allow investors to have a choice of funds that emulate the potential risk of having direct property investment with on a managed basis.

Assetz managing director Stuart Law says: These funds will revolutionise property in pensions. Any suitable investor with as little as 5,000 can now begin a property investment portfolio by buying a stake in one or many diversified property funds which itself has the capacity to borrow, thereby accessing property which would otherwise have been out of reach. A huge benefit of the low entry level of just 5,000 means investors will be able to diversify their portfolios, without pouring all their retirement savings into just one property, exposing themselves to risk.
