ASI teams up with PTFS to offer MPPI

Assurant Solutions Intermediary has entered into a deal with Personal Touch Financial Services to provide mortgage and payment protection insurance through the network’s quote engine.

The move is part of ASI’s plans to makes it easy for advisers to find the most suitable and affordable policies for their clients, says ASI sales and marketing director Kevin Paterson.

Paterson says: “This is an important partnership for us as PTFS reaches out to more than 2300 network members. Many intermediaries are looking to diversify into general insurance right now to try and make up for lost income resulting from the massive slowdown in the mortgage market.”

PTFS group sales director Dev Malle says: “It’s important to us that we can offer our members long term sustainability, particularly given that some ASU providers are pulling out of the market just at a time when ASU protection is most needed by consumers. ASI offers this stability alongside an excellent product range.”

ASI is also expected to offer buildings and contents insurance thorough the quote engine later in the year.
