Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management has appointed former Brewin Dolphin intermediary business development manager Chris Legge to grow its outsourced portfolio management service for advisers.
Legge joins the company as head of intermediary services. He was previously at Brewin for eight years. Prior to this, Legge was intermediary business development manager at Gerrard Investment Management and previously held the same role at Williams de Broe.
Legge says: “These are exciting times in the adviser market and we believe our proposition will help advisers in the battle to meet client needs and demonstrate value added. I look forward to reviewing old acquaintances and opening new doors with Ashcourt Rowan.”
On the firm’s managed portfolio service, Ashcourt Rowan chief investment officer Toni Meadows says: “Introducers and clients sign up for a particular risk profile and we aim to give them the best return within that profile.
“As we work so closely with financial planners – both those working for Ashcourt Rowan and for other firms – I like to think we have a strong understanding of what they and their clients care about.”
Yellowtail Financial Planning managing director Dennis Hall says: “We are seeing this a lot from larger groups, where they are looking at getting the resources to grow.
“Ashcourt Rowan is a reasonable sized firm and it is investing in growing its market share, which this new hire shows.”
