Royal London-owned wrap Ascentric has partnered with Lex Futura to offer legal products through its platform aimed at protecting clients from incapacity and intestacy.
The legal products include lasting powers of attorney and wills. Ascentric says all cases are reviewed by a solicitor from a panel of regional law firms. The products come with three service levels, standard, premier and bespoke.
Ascentric head of marketing Dominic Ventham says: “Our job as a platform is to give our advisers as much support as possible and this latest addition to our services extends that support. The best financial planning can come to nothing if a client’s affairs are not properly protected if they fall ill or pass away.”
Lex Future chief executive Michael Yeates says: “Around 69 per cent of adults do not have a will; even fewer have an LPA. Intermediaries on the Ascentric platform can now move into that gap by adding Lex Futura’s products to their range, deepening client relationships and enabling them to help their clients safeguard their families’ future finances.”
Campbell Macpherson & Associates managing director Campbell Macpherson says: “This is a positive move and anything that can open up the range of products available via platform even wider has got to be a good thing.”
