ASA forces C&G to amend &#39instant&#39 access accounts

The Advertising Standards Authority is forcing Cheltenham & Gloucester to withdraw its Instant Transfer Account and rename its Instant 10 Account.

The ASA ruled against the words &#34instant access&#34 because neither account offers instant cash withdrawals, a facility that an instant access account must have under a new ASA ruling.

The Instant 10 Account is being renamed Branch 10. Existing holders of Instant Transfer Accounts will not be affected.
