Artemis’ John Wood joins Aviva Investors

Aviva Investors has appointed Artemis’ John Wood as a senior fund manager.

Reporting to head of UK equities David Lis, Wood will be responsible for running the Aviva Investors UK Growth Fund as well as helping to develop the institutional UK equities business.

Wood joins from Artemis Asset Management where he was senior fund manager for UK and Europe. Prior to this he was head of UK equities at Deutsche Asset Management.

Lis says: “We are looking forward to John making a significant contribution to the team as he is well known in the investment management industry. I am confident his expertise and experience will be a major asset within Aviva Investors’ already successful offering in UK equities, which includes one of the top performing OEIC ranges in the market.”

Wood will join Aviva on October 1.
