Artemis appoints Mettrick

Sam Mettrick, the former sales director, partnerships, at Henderson New Star, has joined Artemis as the head of strategic alliances.

Mettrick left Henderson New Star in November last year. He was replaced by James Tothill, who was appointed the head of global partnerships.

Mettrick will be based in Artemis’ London office. His role will involve developing business with Artemis’ third party partners, including key national and network intermediaries, life companies and supermarkets. 


Goldman Sachs looks at offshore move

Goldman Sachs is considering moving its London operations offshore after the Government announced plans for a 50 per cent tax on bonuses above £25,000 and 50 per cent income tax for people earning more than £150,000 from April.


Lib Dems attack Tory tax cuts

The Liberal Democrats have hit out at Tory proposals to cut inheritance tax and stamp duty, saying it will result in a £7bn shortfall.
