Artemis appoints Alan Gadd as product and distribution head

Simon Embley

Artemis Investment Management has appointed former Allfunds Bank head of UK Alan Gadd as head of product and distribution development.

Artemis says Gadd will be responsible for identifying any required structural changes at the firm as well as reviewing overseas opportunities. He will report to Artemis head of asset gathering Dick Turpin.

Gadd left Allfunds in April 2012  to take up the role of independent consultant having been with the bank since May 2009.

Allfunds Bank global head of distribution and deputy general manager Gianluca Renzini assumed direct responsibility for the management of the London office, with Gadd continuing to report to him as a consultant.

Gadd was retail business director at Morley Fund Management, now Aviva Investors, from 2001 until 2005. He was also managing director of retail at HSBC Global Asset Management from 1995 until 2000.

Money Marketing revealed in April Cofunds managing director of operational services Stephen Mohan was joining Allfunds to head its UK platform.

Yellowtail Financial Planning managing director Dennis Hall says: “Artemis’ branding has been very strong in recent years and I think it has sought the experience of someone from a big business to continue that.”
