ARs should submit multiple network applications – PMN

Intermediaries looking to become an appointed representative should consider submitting membership applications to at least three mortgage networks in order to ensure they are able to continue trading from M-Day, according to PMN.

PMN believes that as many as 20 networks won&#39t be in a position to offering full network facilities to members by October 31st.

Managing director Dale Knight says: “My recommendation is that anyone seeking AR status through a network should submit applications to at least three networks &#45 including one of the big names. At least then the ARs back will be covered if their preferred choice doesn&#39t make the grade. I have no doubts that failing to have a contingency will cost an AR dear in the final analysis.”

Aifa&#39s View

I did enjoy my holiday but I could have done without a return marred by the continuing Financial Services Compensation Scheme saga. I would also prefer to be able to give a more upbeat assessment of this situation than a comment that discussions with regulator and providers are continuing. But that is where we are […]

Lotta bottle

We all know journalism is a grubby business but never has this been so brilliantly illustrated as by Baillie Gifford&#39s press office. Nobody really wants to “celebrate the launch of a Sipp” but sending journalists an empty single malt whisky carton containing a note saying “the missing bottle is waiting for you, bring the empty […]
