Armstrong IM mulls restructure as founders split

Armstrong Investment Managers is currently in talks about the future of the company after founders Ana Armstrong and Patrick Armstrong filed for divorce.

The couple have decided to go their separate ways and are in contact with the regulator to discuss the future of their business, which is likely to be restructured.

The duo manage the £35.7m IM Distinction Diversified Real Return fund and the £20.5m Armstrong Diversified Dynamic Solution fund.

Ana and Patrick founded Armstrong Investment Managers in 2009 after leaving Insight Investment. Ana is chief executive of the firm and Patrick acts as chief investment officer.

Prior to Insight, both worked at UBS.

In February, the firm hired Vincent Tournant as chief operating officer as part of plans for a “structured expansion” of the company.
