APC Underwriting launches insurance network

APC Underwriting has launched APC Alliance, a network that enables mortgage brokers and IFAs to place insurance for commercial clients.

APC Alliance says introducers can receive a quotation back within an hour of supplying clients’ requirements.

The network adds that all areas of commercial insurance can be covered and it is anticipating that the greatest interest will be for let property cover.

APC says the introducer will receive a 15 per cent commission of the gross premium on each case if the policy is taken out.

Underwriting director Ian Russell says the current challenges within the mortgage and IFA market has meant that there is a clear need to generate alternative income streams from existing clients.

He says: “Having spoken to numerous brokers and IFAs we felt that the placement of commercial insurance would be of enormous benefit to introducers.”
