Andy Milburn joins Munich Re

Andy Milburn has joined Munich Re as its new head of marketing for its UK Life branch business.

He joins the company on July 8. He will be responsible for the branch’s client marketing and communications and will report to the director of client management Andrew Francis.

Milburn had previously been head of marketing at Goldsmith Williams which he joined this April from Former Progress from Royal Liver.

His new role at Munich Re involves working closely with the business units to market and communicate the branch’s reinsurance and service proposition to clients as well as the broader development of the Munich Re brand, personality and reputation.

Francis says: “We are particularly pleased to have attracted someone of Andy’s calibre and experience to the role. The UK life branch has made significant strides in improving performance since it restructured in 2006 and this appointment marks the start of the next phase in the development of our proposition.”

Milburn adds: “This is a really exciting opportunity with a company that is clearly focused on making a difference to its clients. I am looking forward to supporting the growth and development of the Munich Re brand in the protection market.”
