Anderson joining Gartmore

Gartmore has appointed John Anderson as head of credit in the group’s fixed-income team.

Anderson joins later this year after a six-month notice period with Rensburg Fund Management, where he has managed the corporate bond trust since 2000.

He will report to chief investment officer Dominic Rossi and will take on the management of Gartmore’s corporate bond, institutional corporate bond, high yield corporate bond and Gartmore Sicav sterling corporate bond funds.

He replaces current credit head Simon Surtees, who Gartmore has confirmed is in discussion over his position at the firm.
