Joel Amsellem has joined Thames River from Quantum, bringing his UK Absolute Income fund with him.
The group has renamed the fund Thames River UK Absolute Income, although there will not be any changes to its management style or investment process.
More launches are planned this year within its income yielding product range, according to Charlie Porter, the chief executive.
Quantum launched the fund in 2005 and handed it to Amsellem last year. It is a Dublin-domiciled Ucits III vehicle with a yield target of 2% above British interest rates.
Porter says the firm has held the Quantum vehicle through its multi-manager range for some time and saw the acquisition as a chance to grow its business.
