Allianz UK chairman joins ABI board

Allianz UK chairman Clement B Booth has been appointed to the board of the Association of British Insurers.

Booth says his focus will be on ensuring that the industry is “well-placed to continue to weather the economic storm”.

ABI chairman Archie Kane says: “Clem brings vast experience as a global player in both wholesale and retail insurance, and has an excellent knowledge and understanding of the political and regulatory environment in the European Union and in wider international markets.

“All this will be invaluable as the ABI board works to lead the industry through these challenging times.”
