Alliance Trust expands investment team

Alliance Trust is making three new appointments to its investment team.

George Renouf joins as investment strategist, Emma Gilchrist joins as investment manager property and Jay Newman is relocating from Alliance Trust’s Hong Kong office to take up the role of head of global equities.

George Renouf joins with 20 years’ experience within the fund management and investment banking industry, previously working as investment strategist at Cornelian Asset Managers.

Jay Newman has over 25 years’ experience in investment and banking and has managed international mandates for the global equity and balanced investments teams of Citigroup Asset Management.

Emma Gilchrist joins from Gilchrist Property Consultants Ltd, where she was director and covered all aspects of property asset management across the UK.

Commenting on the new appointments, Alliance Trust chief investment officer Katherine Garrett-Cox says: “These three key appointments are integral to the development of our investment process. Each of these individuals brings a unique set of skills that will complement those of our existing team to deliver enhanced performance.”
