Alliance Trust Equity Partners expands team

Alliance Trust Equity Partners has appointed Layla Fear as investment manager.

Fear will work as part of the team headed up by Raymond Abbott, alongside ATEP directors Iain Christie and John Morrison and investment director Richard Hope. She joins from SL Capital Partners where she worked as private equity investment analyst with responsibilities for the origination, execution and monitoring of investment opportunities in Europe.

Alliance Trust Equity Partners Raymond Abbott says: “The addition of Layla to the ATEP team adds a wider experience of European funds and allows ATEP to increase the pace of commitment to private equity over the coming years. Her skills complement the direct deal skills in the team and we are very pleased with her appointment. This is at a time when we believe our fund partners will be operating in a market where new investments will be at attractive valuations and provide the opportunity for superior returns for Alliance Trust.”
