Alliance Trust appoints Garrett-Cox as CEO

Alliance Trust has appointed Katherine Garrett-Cox as chief executive.

The current CIO will succeed Alan Harden at the board of directors meeting on August 29 when he steps down from the current role to take up an external appointment.

Garrett-Cox joined the Company in May 2007 from Morley Fund Management where she was CIO.

Alliance Trust chairman Lesley Knox says: “The Board and I are delighted that we have such a worthy successor to Alan within our management team. Her appointment underlines our continuing commitment to delivering superior returns for shareholders through an ever-sharper focus on investment performance.”
