All-in-one service to get IFAs&#39 businesses online

The In-a-minute group has set up an online product to help IFAs tap into the small business market through the provision of business start-up and support services. enables IFAs, under their own brand name, to offer online company registration, a domain name, DIY website and brochure design, legal documentation and guides, virtual office support and office furniture to potential and existing corporate clients.

In-a-minute says 99.2 per cent of all UK businesses are classified as small with less than 50 employees and IFAs are increasingly seeing this as a huge business opportunity.

It says the challenge is for IFAs to provide, at a profit, a good level of service that small businesses can afford. It is claiming its new bolt-on web service allows the IFA to extend the support provided to clients and add a new revenue stream based on business services which are unregulated and not affected by FSA requirements.

The IFA can offer this service through a site provided by In-a-minute tailored and branded to the adviser&#39s requirements or it can be placed within their existing website.

In-a-minute founder Barry Spencer Higgins says: “Many IFAs will be missing out on profitable business because they do not have a website. We provide an instant solution that extends the business they can sell to SMEs and start-ups. Websites create a level playing field where IFAs can take on the competition regardless of size or location.”

Special effects

Introduced business from neighbouring professions has long been part of IFA practice but increasingly it is IFAs referring business to each other, seeking out fellow IFAs with expertise in a particular area.In discussions about the future direction of IFA businesses, two comparisons are often made.
