AITC pushes Venture Capital Trusts

The Association of Investment Trust Companies is urging consumers looking for tax-free investments to put their money into Venture Capital Trusts.


It says VCTs offer 20 per cent tax relief up-front and up to 40 per cent capital gains tax deferral by reinvesting taxable capital gains.


Most VCTs can be placed within a Pep structure. The sector has been the best performing investment trust sector over the last 5 years.
