Aifa has appointed Tracy Elwick as its new director of public relations and marketing.
Elwick was previously group marketing manager for Pet Protect Limited, part of Domestic and General, and has also acted as a consultant for a number of Government departments.
Elwick replaces Tracey Mullins, who left the trade body to move to Dubai, and will be charged with enhancing the profile and reputation of Aifa across the industry.
Aifa director general Chris Cummings says: “This is a critical time for Aifa and I am delighted that we have appointed someone with Tracy’s industry knowledge and expertise.
“We have been very active in the media, Westminster and Europe in recent months and Tracy will strengthen our team. With a major consultation on the way consumers buy financial products to close in December it is important that Aifa continues to represent the views of its Members at the highest level.”
Elwick says: “I am delighted to join Aifa and look forward to the challenge. I have extensive experience working in the financial services industry. I am naturally very excited to have the opportunity to represent Aifa Members in the regulatory, political and media environments.”
