Aifa and UKSIF to host ethical investment seminars

Association of Independent Financial Advisers and UKSIF, the sustainable investment and finance association, are hosting seminars for advisers ahead of National Ethical Investment Week.

Aifa says the seminars will feature experts in green and ethical investment and discuss how advisers can help their clients “make money and make a difference”.

There will also be a free online training course designed specifically for financial advisers.

Henderson New Star will host a seminar in London on November 2 and Skandia will host the Southampton event on November 6.

National Ethical Investment Week starts on November 8.

UKSIF chief executive Penny Shepherd says: “We encourage all advisers to use National Ethical Investment Week as an opportunity to speak to their clients about today’s green and ethical investments. These seminars, and our other adviser support, will help them to respond to the growing client interest.”

Aifa director general Chris Cummings adds: “Green and ethical investment is a very important area and one in which many investors have a growing interest. It is vital that advisers are informed about the issues involved. Consumers are keen to take a more ethical route and IFAs should embrace the business opportunities this presents.”
