Agency aids FI&S investment push

Friends Ivory & Sime has appointed Vanbrugh Financial Communications as its public relations agency.

Vanbrugh has been working on temporary projects for FI&S for the last six months, including handling PR for its launch into the retail market.

The agency will provide strategic communications advice and promote FI&S&#39s investment credentials in its bid to position itself as a leader in institutional and retail asset management.

Vanbrugh&#39s account team of four will look at how to promote FI&S&#39s investment capabilities to a broad range of institutional and retail audiences.

It will primarily focus on raising FI&S&#39s UK profile but may also target media in markets such as the US and Asia, where F&IS does business.

Vanbrugh clients include IFA RJ Temple, Wesleyan Mutual and CFM&#39s hedge funds.

FI&S has £35.2bn in funds under management, with offices in London, Edinburgh, New York and Hong Kong.

Managing director of retail and institutional business Gary Mairs says: “In reviewing our PR requirements, we were attracted to Vanbrugh because we sought an agency with a proactive and results-oriented approach as well as deep financial services sector knowledge, both retail and institutional.”

Vanbrugh managing director Sophie Hull says: “We look forward to broadening the appreciation of Friends Ivory & Sime&#39s undoubted skills and working with the FI&S team as they capture further market share.”
