Retirement specialist Age Partnership has linked with software firm Iress to provide a new referral service for equity release.
Using Iress’ The Exchange portal, the service is targeted at advisers and brokers not involved in equity release, but who still wish to service their clients interests in the sector.
Age Partnership will offer advice to customers referred through the system, either over the phone or face-to-face through its national network of advisers.
Age Partnership head of partnerships Adam Carnall says the specialist expects the incoming pension freedoms to boost demand for equity release.
He says: “All the signs are there for the equity release market in 2015 to significantly outgrow what was already a fantastic 2014, where sales were up 29 per cent from the previous year. So far in 2015 we have already seen significant interest rate cuts and the launch of an important new brand with L&G announcing their entry into the market.”
