Aegon’s Paul McMahon takes up 7IM non-exec director role

Aegon group marketing director Paul McMahon has been appointed as a non-executive director of Seven Investment Management.

McMahon (pictured) joins the 7IM board as a direct replacement for Iain Black who quit as Aegon UK chief operating officer earlier this month. Aegon holds a 15 per cent stake in 7IM. McMahon’s role with Aegon remains unchanged.

McMahon joined Aegon UK in March after quitting as Friends Provident managing director of UK corporate. Prior to Friends, he headed up the Axa Elevate platform.

In April, he was appointed to lead Aegon’s entry into the platform market.
