Aegon has appointed customer services director David Beattie as managing director of its non-advised channel.
Beattie will oversee Retiready in the newly created role. His previous role will be split between pensions customer service director Ronnie Scott and platform service and development director Richard Denning.
The platform is geared around a calculator tool which scores consumers from one to 100 based on their desired retirement income, current earnings and expected retirement age.
Chief marketing officer David Macmillan says: “From his time as our customer services director, David’s understanding of our servicing capability makes him well placed to oversee the development of our non-advised channel.
“In our recent Q2 results we reported significant growth of our platform and the continued roll out of auto-enrolment, which serve our core audience of advisers and employers. With David’s appointment we have put in place someone with the experience and technical knowledge to expand our platform into our newest channel.”
