Aegon adds two directors to management team

Aegon UK has added to its executive team.

Group IT director David Bradley, who is responsible for co-ordinating

technology development throughout the group, is appointed to the Aegon UK

executive for the first time.

Former Scottish Amicable marketing director Gavin Stewart, who arrived at

Aegon in February, joins the board as group development director with

responsibility for evaluating and implementing new business opportunities.

Stewart and Bradley join group finance director Otto Thoresen, Scottish

Equitable managing director Graham Dumble, Aegon Asset Management managing

director Russell Hogan, director of group businesses Peter Dornan, group

actuary Bill Robertson and group secretary Roy Patrick on the board,

reporting to group chief executive David Henderson.

Henderson says: “The importance of technology to our continued success

cannot be understated. David Bradley has made significant progress in

developing our IT strategy and his appointment reinforces my determination

to ensure our IT continues to meet our business needs.

“Developing new business opportunities for the group is a major focus for

us. Gavin Stewart has made a significant contribution to our development

since February. I have asked him to focus on delivering measurable progress

in broadening our market position.”
