Advisers take the tablets for face-to-face meetings

A new computer system will allow Positive Solutions&#39 advisers to input client information writing freehand using an electronic pen, a laptop and mobile phone technology.

The company believes the Intuitive system which uses tablet PCs will help advisers when they are with clients as they will not get distracted by having to type in fact-find information.

The software transcribes the handwritten data into text, which can be updated later using a keyboard.

The system is also being used by doctors on patient rounds in some hospitals.

Positive Solutions chief executive David Harrison says: “It is good to see financial services leading the way, for once, in fostering client relationships.

“Intuitive takes Positive Solutions out in front again. Companies that expect their IFAs to tap away at keyboards in front of their clients are going to be placing themselves at a huge disadvantage in comparison with our people.”
