ACM breaks out into global investments

Alliance Capital Management International (ACM) has introduced the ACM Bernstein global value portfolio.

ACM has 39 years experience of managing funds in the US. This is its first venture outside the US. The ACM Bernstein global value portfolio is Luxemburg based UCITS aimed at the experienced investor is looking to add a global fund to an existing portfolio.

Designed for growth the UCITS will invest in a wide range of global companies, covering up to 40 different industries. A minimum of 80 per cent of the fund will be invested in countries in the developed world. The companies will be picked for financial strength and long term value.

ACM has introduced the fund as a part of its range of three new UCITS. The other two UCITS are the ACM Bernstein European value portfolio and the ACM Bernstein American value portfolio.

With market volatility continuing across the world&#39s stockmarkets, investments that spread the risk as much as possible are becoming increasingly popular. The fact that the fund will invest in such a wide range of sectors and geographical areas may appeal to many investors.

According to Standard & Poor&#39s the ACM European growth fund is ranked 204 out of 255 funds, based on £1,000 invested on a bid to bid basis with gross income reinvested to April 2, 2001.
