Accord Mortgages is withdrawing all of its residential mortgage products temporarily after receiving an unprecedented number of applications in recent weeks.
The products will be withdrawn at 8pm today and the lender says the decision was taken to maintain service levels.
All of the products will be replaced at some point next week.
Earlier this month, Accord temporarily withdrew all of its 75 per cent and 85 per cent loan-to-value mortgages.
In a note sent to intermediaries today, the lender says: “Accord has received higher than expected levels of residential mortgage applications over the last few weeks. To ensure we are able to continue an effective broker and customer experience we will be withdrawing all products for a short period in order to resume our standard level of service.”
