ABN roadshows to push service

ABN Amro is presenting its new premier fund service to IFAs and investors in a series of 12 roadshows across the country.

The roadshows will start in Edinburgh on May 17 and finish in Exeter on June 13. Other venues include Leeds, London, Glasgow and Manchester.

ABN Amro says its funds of funds Premier service is designed to eliminate the uncertainty of fund selection in a market with 150 management companies running over 2,000 authorised funds.

The service offers investors one of five investment strategies – growth, balanced, conservative, international and ethical. Each strategy can be wrapped as an Isa or pension or can be accommodated used in unwrapped portfolios.

The team behind the premier fund service moved en masse to ABN Amro from Singer & Friedlander in February.

Fund director Aidan Kearney will explain how the service works at the roadshows, showing how it could offer investors a balanced approach to investment.

Kearney says: “The experience that many investors have had of the equity markets over the last couple of years has made them reticent to commit new money to one fund.

“The roadshows will give us an opportunity to demonstrate to intermediaries how the Premier fund service can provide their clients with the optimum investment strategy across a range of top-performing funds.”
