Aberdeen advises Pep investors to take stock of their portfolios

Aberdeen Asset Management is advising investors to take stock of their Pep portfolio’ to ensure they are meeting their requirements.

Despite being put on the back-burner with the introduction of Isas, there is an £80bn forgotten market tucked away in Peps according to Aberdeen.

Many of these Pep investments are no longer meeting the investors needs because of a number of reasons. These include the need to achieve better performance, wider investment choice or to address a change in investment philosophy.

Aberdeen’ UK marketing director Richard Wilson says: ” the new Isa replacement may eventually become more popular than Peps, millions of investors still have sizeable Pep investments which could suffer if neglected.

” as investors will mange their Isa portfolios, they must also keep an eye on their Pep portfolios and ensure that not only is performance up to scratch but they are still meeting their requirements.”
